Sitting in a cafe one day, I was messing around with ideas. I had constantly been having this same idea pop up for a few weeks and I needed to do something about it.

Scribbling away in my notebook as I drank a latte and ate some toast. My mind suddenly opened, flowing with consistent ideas, a story started to emerge, as I sat reading it through, little did I know at that point I had written the first draft for what was to become my children’s book -The Princess who wanted to play Hide and Seek.

A few days later while out for lunch with a friend, I showed them my story, sitting there patiently waiting for their opinion.. they looked up a smile on their face, “you need to publish this!”

That lunch turned into my first working lunch as we edited the story, and I hired them as my illustrator.

Yes, I had written a book now the real work started!
