Launching.
Launching.
Since I published The Princess who wanted to play Hide and Seek. I have learnt a lot more about launching your book or product across social media. Here are a few ways you can do it.
1) Email sign-up with book journey updates, asking people to sign-up to your email for all the book updates is a great way to keep followers updated on every step of the book journey. You can also add a pre-order link to emails during the launch period, so your followers get chance to pre-order before anyone else.
2) Book cover reveals; everybody loves a countdown to a big reveal, and this would be the same for a book cover, it keeps your followers interested and drawn to the book launch.
3) Virtual book launch: organising a virtual book launch to be held a couple of weeks before the book is available to buy is a great way to draw in people for a sneak peek at your book. Holding it as a private event that is invite only, makes it even more enticing! You could hold the virtual meeting via zoom or another platform, you could hold games where the highest scoring person by the end of the event wins a signed copy of the book. You can do a book reading or read just a little of it to entice, depending on the size of your book. Lastly give the people who attend a chance to buy an advanced copy of the book before anyone else! That night only.
4) In person book launch: organise a venue where you can have a set amount of people and arrange food for them too.
Sell tickets two different prices, 1 standard the other VIP which gets a gift bag and a signed copy of your book.
Advertise for sponsorship at different prices the highest one being given a speaking spot, promotion off you about their business. All sponsorship spots will get a VIP bag and are asked to donate to the VIP bags.
By doing this the Sponsorship will cover event costs and they get the chance to network and advertise their businesses.
I have named just a few things here in detail and I hope they help when it comes to launching a book or product of your choice.
There are loads of other things you can do whilst launching your book or product for example:
An unboxing video showing the arrival of your book.
A release date countdown showing your book and how many days till it is released.
And of course, plastering your socials with pictures from your book launches whether they are virtual or in person, people love to see the behind-the-scenes stuff and it’s great marketing. Just let everyone know what you’re doing and make sure you have their permission.
