With my confidence growing, the more I learnt through Claires courses. I knew I wanted to take my writing to the next level, I had been entering writing competitions, not because I wanted to win, but because I wanted the experience! The chance to develop my writing and write in various styles.

It was during this time that I came across the Online magazine Up and Coming. They were looking for additional writers, so I jumped in feet first. A chance to write for a magazine each month was fantastic, furthermore I was able to write about anything I liked, giving me the chance to develop my writing in all areas. So far, I have written short stories, holiday tips, history articles, self- help, and even personal articles, including a poem or two.

When the opportunity came up to be part of a collaboration book in 2023, it was too good to turn down, it was my chance to get my full story out there.

Becoming part of Seasoned With Empowerment was a great experience. I meat some wonderful ladies, some of which I have since had the pleasure of working with.

It took me right out of my comfort zone, by putting me in a podcast, talking about my chapter in the book, something I’d never done before.

It got me talking about my dyslexia in more depth, revealing my feelings, how it affected me and how it came to be the thing that also Empowered me.
